Questions!
Greetings! I have a couple of questions for you all.
First, does anyone have a photo of Nate Powell that I could use on the History Project website for his obituary? I have a photo of his gravestone but would always rather use a personal photo. For that matter, if you have a photo of anyone represented on the website with a gravestone image, I’d love to have you send them to us at ibh@iowabahaihistory.org.
Second, thanks to Yvor Stoakley, who sent Nate’s obituary and has offered several excellent suggestions about the Project. One relates to a talk Dr. Dorothy Nelson gave at Morningside College in Sioux City in 1972. He sent the invitation, but wonders if anyone who remembers being present might share some memories to accompany the document. Might that be you? Yvor is willing to collaborate on such an article.
Another is simply a question about whether a bunch of “old timers” who were active in the Faith in Iowa during the 1960s or ‘70s might be interested in a Zoom gathering to reminisce and reflect on those days, reconnect, and maybe generate some wonderful new content for the website in the process. Does that appeal to you? Who’s in? Nina Scott? Karen Anne Webb? Rod Clarken? Todd Fletcher? Vaughn Fletcher? Tammy Fletcher? Vicki Abel? Bryce Abel? Debby Hastings? Robyn Kinley? Jeanne Foust? Carolyn Brum? Rita Rita Landers? Judy Russell? Jaye Hamilton? Maliheh Stoakley? Marsi Ighani?
If you’re interested, please either respond here or email us at the Project address above and we’ll see what we can put together.
