Happy Ayyám-i-Há!

As we move into our annual “spiritual season,” beginning with Ayyám-i-Há, encompassing the Fast, and concluding with Naw Ruz, we feel a special excitement, joy, and reverence. Personally, I declared my faith in Baha’u’llah on the first night of Ayyám-i-Há of 1976, so this season always brings back precious memories. As you “provide good cheer” for yourselves, your kindred, the poor, and the needy, you might take a look at some of the celebrations of the past preserved here and consider sharing your own precious memories with the Iowa Bahá’í History Project. Our stories are important!

I wish you Happy Ayyám-i-Há, a blessed Fast, and a joyful Naw Ruz!

In every Dispensation, the light of Divine Guidance has been focused upon one central theme.… In this wondrous Revelation… the foundation of the Faith of God, and the distinguishing feature of His Law, is the consciousness of the oneness of mankind. — ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, cited in The Promised Day is Come
