Marie Scheffer, who is working on a comprehensive history of the Faith in Sioux City, asked me to post this question for her:

I am looking for the correct last name of the woman who was elected to the Assembly in 1972, when Sioux City first tried to form an Assembly which, for various reasons, was not able to be recognized by the National Assembly. The woman’s first name was “Janet,” and the last name was either “Hutton” or “Hodges.” It may be the same woman because I think I once heard that she married another local Bahá’í and later was divorced. The other members of that short-lived Assembly were Dean Andrews, Cheryl Ingram, Angel Nava, Nancy Nava, Mary Sundance, Grace Davidson, Pauline Luehr, and Michele St. Cyr, if having those other names might be a memory jogger for someone.

She also wonders if anyone has contact information for Cheryl Ingram, who left SC for Santa Fe and may still live there.

Let us know if you can help or know who might. Thanks!

In every Dispensation, the light of Divine Guidance has been focused upon one central theme.… In this wondrous Revelation… the foundation of the Faith of God, and the distinguishing feature of His Law, is the consciousness of the oneness of mankind. — ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, cited in The Promised Day is Come
