Quilted Wall Hanging Raises Money for the National Fund, 1995

By Diane Findlay, submitted May 2023

In 1995, Des Moines Area Bahá’ís held a silent auction to raise money for the National Bahá’í Fund. We were lucky enough to make the winning bid on this gorgeous machine-embroidered wall hanging, made by Peggy Cheney. The writing you see is all quotations from Baha’u’llah; the center photo gives a closer look at four of those quotations. And the lower right corner documents the time, place, and creator of this stunning work of art, made with love in service to the Cause. We treasure it! It’s hung in our home ever since.
