Interview: Don Sires by Linda Coulter-Jones, April 2024
Linda Coulter-Jones interviewed Don Sires on April 3, 2024, via zoom. Don recounts his experiences as a Bahá’í growing up in Iowa and then beyond, along with stories of his father, Chappie Sires, a colorful character who became a Bahá’í in Davenport in the 1950s and actively taught the Faith there and in Waterloo, and of his cousin, Tom Walton, who was active in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo Bahá’í community for many years. Don and his wife Donna now live in Newberg, Oregon.
NOTE: The video has some distortion which our video consultant says is due to power fluctuations while recording, so it’s not “fixable.”

I keep picturing “the odd couple.” I think that’s my favorite part of this wonderful interview.
