Procession of Prayers for Peace on World Religion Day

Representatives will come to the lounge podium, offer their greetings, and sign a peace scroll. The scroll will be presented to area Mayors, then forwarded to Governor Vilsack and then sent as a gift to the President of the United States. Silent prayers for peace will also be offered in the meditation room. The Prairiewoods meditation room has a peace candle with its flame originating from the Hiroshima Peace Park. The peace flame was brought to Prairiewoods at its dedication in October of 1996 to signify a commitment to peace and perpetual vigil in prayer.

The Baha’i Speakers Forum is taking on this format of Peace Conferences for the next several years.
