Edeth Mrytle Sun died April 24, 2014, and is buried in the Winnebago Indian Cemetery in Winnebago, NE. Edeth declared her Faith in Nebraska about a year after her husband, George, entered the Faith in Sioux City. Together they opened the Winnebago Reservation to the Faith in about 1981. George was Winnebago; Edeth was Blackfoot. Edeth moved back to Sioux City later in life.

Edeth Myrtle “Sugar” (Dunfee) Sun, 75, of Sioux City died April 24, 2014, in Sioux City. Burial was in Winnebago Tribal Cemetery, Winnebago, Neb. Arrangements were under the direction of Winnebago Wake and Burial Program.
Edeth was born on March 7, 1939, in Pueblo, Colo. She was raised by her stepmother, Rozanna Horn. Edeth spent most of her adult life in Nebraska, rearing her family and helping others in need. She once operated her own bakery and later retired from Hardees. Edeth was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Isaacs (Glen), Billy Sun, and Louisa Sun; her mom, Rozanna Horn; a sister, Hazel Abe (John); and a brother, John Dunfee (Terry). She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sun; her father and mother; a brother; two sons; and stepfather, Vern Horn.
