Cedar Rapids Gazette Covers Naw Ruz 139 BE, 1982
From the Des Moines Bahá’í Archives, entered December 2025
Staff writer Sandra VanAmburg, interviews Kathy Siegling and Marge Willis in a fairly extensive article about Naw-Rúz. Other than calling Naw-Rúz our “most holy day,” a designation we know is actually reserved for the Festival of Ridván, and perhaps not clarifying that we refrain from food and drink only from sunrise to sunset during the fast, it is an engaging, personal, and generally accurate piece.
